Ni hao, Taiwan!

I was on vacation in Taipei in October with my friends, and I 100% enjoyed the trip! Taipei is not as busy as Hong Kong or Singapore (for some, it's even a bit bland), but there's something really charming about the Taiwanese capital. It's probably the people, who are so polite and helpful even though they barely speak English. And the food - THE FOOD.

Taiwanese flags are everywhere!
The first tourist attraction we went to - and probably the most interesting - was the iconic Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. It is located at the east end of Liberty Square, Taiwan's biggest public plaza.
Liberty Square is flanked by twin performing arts venues: the National Concert Hall on the north and the National Theater on the south.

From Liberty Square, the Presidential Office Building and the National Taiwan Museum are within walking distance.

On our way to the Presidential Office Building from Liberty Square, we found this wall created to commemorate the White Terror victims.
Another thing I like about Taipei is that within the city center, you can find parks - with squirrels and birds and turtles! - where you can pause to take a breather.
